The Water Treatment Plant has been in operation since 1972.

Operating as the only drinking water plant in the City, it performs a vital role in serving over 50,000 citizens and ensuring that safe potable water (drinking water) is supplied 24 hours per day seven days a week.

On average the plant produces 12 million gallons per day of award winning drinking water. There is a trained and licensed operator at the plant 24 hours a day to produce high quality drinking water to our community. These operators test the water every two hours to ensure that it meets and exceeds all drinking water standards.
