How can downtown businesses participate in Art Walk?
Become a Friend of First Friday Art Walk and make a donation! This is the best opportunity to showcase your downtown business. All funds will be utilized to coordinate and advertise First Friday Art Walk events and participating artists. Sponsors will receive a business listing on our website, social media, event t-shirts and monthly First Friday Art Walk maps, as well as special marketing items for your storefront window.
Host an artist inside your place of business. This is a good opportunity to showcase your boutique or restaurant by welcoming the public indoors. You may choose to include complimentary beverage and light fare to enhance the atmosphere. Tell us how much space you have available - from the ability to accommodate two pieces of art in your storefront window, to a 6’ table - we will find an artist with matching needs. Let us know if you have a theme or topic we should consider when matching you with an artist. Please make sure that you do have a comfortable space for the artist to interact with the public.
Host an artist outside your storefront window on the sidewalk. Make sure to stay open during the entire length of the art walk. Please accommodate the artist’s needs by providing lighting and/or access to electricity during the winter months. Welcome the artist indoors in inclement weather.
Create your own cultural art experience inside your store! Host a book signing, culinary demonstration, guest speaker, or special sale on a limited edition item. Tell us about your event and we will include it on the First Friday Art Walk monthly map, website, and social media pages.
