Our Promise

At Ocala Recreation and Parks, we endeavor to provide you with experiences uniquely yours in safe places and spaces that captivate and inspire; where strangers become friends and friends become a family we call community; where little boys and girls dream of mighty achievements and their families and neighbors are their biggest fans; where the song of the swing set, the roaring of the crowd and the rustling of the leaves all blend into a sweet symphonywhere time and troubles slip away into smiles and laughter.  At Ocala Recreation and Parks we endeavor to ensure the memories you make with us here today will be treasured stories you share with your family, friends, children and grandchildren tomorrow.  We look forward to sharing this journey with you.

The Ocala Recreation and Parks Department has a variety of programs and services to meet your leisure service needs. We have programs for the young and the young-at-heart; programs for those who enjoy being active and for those who just want some down-time; programs for guys and gals of all ages! We have indoor programs. We have outdoor programs. We can guide you or  you can guide yourself. This is your time - and you are the star!  Make it meaningful.  We invite you, Ocala, to Come Out & Play.

In an effort to always be improving the services we provide you, we'd love your feedback! Please take a moment to complete this survey so we can know how to serve you better:

Let them PLAY!

It is an unfortunate reality that not all kids can afford to participate in paid recreation programs and summer camps. At the City of Ocala, we endeavor to ensure that every child has an opportunity to participate. You can help us continue to make constructive play time a reality for underprivileged children by making a donation to the Let them PLAY! Scholarship Fund.

Please go to our website to donate today or mail a check to Let them PLAY! Scholarship Fund, 828 NE Eighth Ave., Ocala, Florida 34470.

Thank you in advance for your investment in Ocala’s children.
