UPDATE: Ocala Fiber Network Experiencing Connectivity Difficulties
OCALA, Fla. (Feb. 21, 2019) – Ocala Fiber Network is continuing to experience fiber connectivity difficulties and intermittent outages. As a result of these issues, the City of Ocala will not be disconnecting any of its utility customers until further notice. Customers who would have been shut off otherwise due to nonpayment will not be disconnected until online communications are restored.
Customers experiencing electric outages are encouraged to call 352-351-6666. When calling this number, customers may experience longer than normal wait times, so please remain patient as City staff works to resolve these issues. The City of Ocala Customer Service Center will make appropriate accommodations to any customers affected by these issues.
