Construction to Begin at City Lift Station #120 Monday, Feb. 18
OCALA, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2019) – Due to necessary maintenance, the City of Ocala will begin construction on a coatings project for Lift Station #120, located at 3091 SE 19th Ave., which may result in a potentially strong organic odor. Construction will begin Monday, Feb. 18 and is expected to be completed by Friday, March 8.
The City of Ocala’s sanitary sewer collection system utilizes gravity to transport liquids to one of two Water Reclamation Facilities. Lift stations are used to lift the sewer flows back to a higher elevation when needed. There are over 130 lift stations located throughout Ocala.
All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic, if necessary. Construction will take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. During construction times, travelers may experience delays, noise, dust and equipment within the project area.
