'Wild Weather' Exhibit is Now Open at the Discovery Center
OCALA, Fla. (Feb. 7, 2018) – The Discovery Center’s newest exhibit, Wild Weather, is currently open to the public and will be on display through Saturday, April 28 at the Discovery Center located at 701 NE Sanchez Ave.
Wild Weather is an interactive exhibit that teaches families the science behind severe weather, including lightning, tornadoes and hurricanes, and how to be prepared. Guests can also discover what Meteorologists use to predict weather and make their very own forecast. Other interactive displays available at this exhibit include a hurricane simulator, featuring up to 80 mile per hour winds, and storm prep tents, which are designed to educate guests about the precautions needed to stay safe during severe weather.
The exhibit is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $6 per person or $20 for a family of four.
