Recognition Ceremony: Legacy Park Community Service Recognition Program

OCALA, Fla. (June 23, 2020) – A recognition ceremony will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25 for the Legacy Park Community Service Recognition Program inductees. The ceremony will take place at Legacy Park, formerly the Thompson Bowl Start! Walking Trail, located near the 900 block of SW Ninth Avenue.

The Legacy Park Community Service Recognition program was initiated by the Governor’s West Ocala Neighborhood Revitalization Council to honor and recognize community leaders or individuals who have made outstanding, unique, lasting and extraordinary contributions to the community. The appointed Governor’s West Ocala Neighborhood Revitalization Council subcommittee is responsible for submission and selection of nominees.

Inductees are Mary Sue Rich, Carolyn Adams, Wendell Dailey, June Dailey, George Giles, Sheriff M.A. Clouts, Marshall Burrell E. Dawkins, Dr. Pamela Lewin.

This event is free and open to the public. Members of the media are encouraged to attend.
