Tuscawilla Road Closures - Saturday, Nov. 9

OCALA, Fla. (Nov. 4, 2019) – The following is a list of closures associated with the City of Ocala’s annual Harvest Fest Music and Food Truck Festival happening Saturday, Nov. 9 from 1 to 10 p.m. at Tuscawilla Park, 800 NE Sanchez Ave. Tuscawilla Park will be closed to the public Saturday, Nov. 9.

Road closures effective Saturday, Nov. 9 from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. –
• Sanchez Avenue from NE Ninth Street to NE Fourth Street
• Watula Avenue from NE Fifth Street to NE Ninth Street

Detour routes –
• Watula Avenue (northbound) –
o Route 1 – East on NE Third Street, north on NE Eighth Avenue, back to NE Ninth Street
o Route 2 – West on NE Third Street, north on NE First Avenue, back to NE Ninth Street

The event area – which spans from NE Watula Avenue to the west, NE Ninth Street to the north, just west of Eighth Avenue to the east, and south of the playground – will be fenced and access to those areas will be restricted to the public on Saturday, Nov. 9, except for event attendees who purchase tickets.

The event fencing will be installed Friday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. and will be in place until Monday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. Gate panels with access into the park will be provided on Friday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 10 to allow access into the playground and other areas inside the fence. This area of the park will only be closed Saturday, Nov. 9 to facilitate the event.

The Discovery Center, 701 NE Sanchez Ave., will be closed to the public Saturday, Nov. 9. The exhibit will re-open Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call 352-401-3900.

General admission tickets for the Harvest Fest Music and Food Truck Festival are available for $20 online and $25 at the gate. VIP is available for $50 online and $60 at the gate. Online ticket sales end at midnight on Friday Nov. 8th. Tickets can be purchased at www.ocalafl.org/performingarts.
