The City of Ocala Planning Department researches, analyzes, manages, and dispenses information associated with growth management issues for the City of Ocala. A staff of eleven provides technical support to the City Manager, City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, Ocala Historic Preservation Advisory Board, Ocala Tree Commission, Downtown Development Commission, North Magnolia CRA Advisory Board and the public. The staff provides a broad range of information and presentation materials related to Comprehensive Planning, Current Planning, Downtown Development, Historic Preservation, Tree Preservation and Demographic Information.
