A Water & Sewer rate increase of 1.5% was approved at the City Council meeting in City Council Chambers on April 21, 2015.
The rate increase became effective on
JANUARY 1, 2018

The Water Treatment Plant has been in operation since 1972.
Operating as the only drinking water plant in the City, it performs a vital role in serving over 50,000 citizens and ensuring that safe potable water (drinking water) is supplied 24 hours per day seven days a week.
On average the plant produces twelve million gallons per day of award winning drinking water. Our operators are educated, trained and licensed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and are responsible for delivering quality drinking water to our community.
