Join Us and Celebrate
100 Years at Tuscawilla Park!
The original 10-acre park purchased by City Council in 1916 has grown over the past century to a 53 acre, premier green space. This is Ocala’s Central Park – a “common ground – a place where everyone can play”. Recreation, sports, leisure, educational, and cultural arts amenities abound here! Tuscawilla is THE place to have the ultimate urban, public space experience. Seeking public art? Or maybe you would enjoy outdoor exercise equipment while your children play on a state of the art playground? Wanting to pick up your racket for a match of tennis this summer, but prefer a lighted court in the cool of the evening? How about a unique festival for the whole family that celebrates our local agricultural heritage? Tuscawilla has it all! The City of Ocala’s Recreation and Parks Department invites you to re-discover Tuscawilla Park and enjoy expanded programming and special events that will occur throughout 2016 in honor of Tuscawilla’s Centennial Birthday!
Please mark your calendars and save the date for our Grand Finale – the Tuscawilla Centennial Celebration on the evening of Saturday, October 15, 2016! We will be celebrating with the grand opening of the new Tuscawilla Art Park complete with live music, modern dance, plein air painting, culinary offerings, and FIREWORKS!
