Join us for the unveiling of ten new sculptures at Tuscawilla Park! 


BOBA: Beginning of Bolted Art

Experience an exclusive sneak peak preview of the 10 new sculptures displayed at Tuscawilla Park!

The evening will feature docent tours, small bites paired with a signature cocktail during the sculpture walk, and a live musical performance by Ethio-American sing-songwriter Meklit to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and a cash bar will be available.

The Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition received 117 entries from across 21 states and Canada. A selection jury comprised of local community and art organization representatives selected ten sculptures to travel to Tuscawilla Park for a 20-month exhibit. The exhibit will have works made of sandstone, concrete, and a variety of metals and mediums. There will also be elements of movement and light in several sculptures with the inclusion solar power and kinetic motion.

About the Competition

The Ocala Outdoor Sculpture Competition is a catalyst for rejuvenation of Tuscawilla Park and the surrounding redevelopment area by providing opportunities for self discovery, art education, community gatherings, and the celebration of creativity. The competition is executed through a partnership between the Appleton Museum of Art, City of Ocala, Fine Arts For Ocala, and Marion Cultural Alliance.
