Welcome to the Growth Management Department. The department’s commitment is to guide growth and change for the City of Ocala while maintaining quality of life for its residents.
The City's new “One-Stop Permit Center” was created in 2010 to help streamline the development review process. With one stop (email, call or in person), a staff member will handle all your development related questions and help you obtain either a permit, certificate of occupancy or a plan approval.
In addition to the One-Stop Permit Center, the department includes the Planning and Building Divisions. Both divisions support the One-Stop Permit Center while providing quality short and long term planning and excellent customer care in meeting the needs of the building community.
City's Mission Statement
