At Ocala Electric Utility (OEU), we are committed to enhancing the quality of life within our community by offering Public Education & Outreach. Ocala Electric Utility is determined to advocate to businesses, civic and church groups, school programs and community events.
Our purpose at Ocala Electric Utility is to share valuable resources and bring awareness to the community. Ocala Electric Utility is optimistic and excited to educate the community, while helping with daily choices, preserving natural resources and most importantly teaching the youth of today to become informed citizens of tomorrow! The following outreach programs highlight the variety of opportunities Ocala Electric Utility extends to our community.
• Community Event – Providing information on programs and services available to save time and money. In addition, we will provide energy conservation measures that save resources and lower monthly bills.
• Speakers Bureau – Presenting to local civic clubs, agencies, youth groups, home owners associations, etc. to share information, answer questions and address concerns.
• Social Media – Website, Facebook, Twitter, OEU Blog – On going and interactive communication to keep our customers informed.
• Local Schools – STEM Program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Career Day, “Electricity 101”, electrical safety demonstrations, and energy conservation discussion.
