The Compliance Monitoring Division plays a diverse and extremely important role in the protection of its customer’s drinking water, ground water, and treated wastewater quality!
The division operates a State of Florida certified Water Quality Laboratory and conducts extensive sampling and analysis of these waters to ensure they adhere to all local, state and federal regulations. The Compliance Monitoring Division works hard to guarantee that the citizens of Ocala have safe drinking water.
We worry about the water so you don’t have to!
Since its inception in the mid-1990s, the division, through education, permitting, monitoring, and enforcement actions, has significantly reduced:
- the number of sanitary sewer over flows
- dangerous discharges to the sewer systems
- chemical spills to our fragile ground water eco-system
