WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT OUTSIDE WATER USE RESTRICTIONS

The City of Ocala and Marion County are split between two Water Management Districts, the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). Each district has different restrictions on outside use of water.

To help you identify which district regulations pertain to you as well as offer proven water conservation tips, we have developed this informational handout. Ocala and Marion County water users who reside or have a place of business east of Interstate Highway 75 (I-75), come under SJRWMD water restriction rules. Those persons or businesses west if I-75 fall under SWFWMD regulations.
