Silver River Drainage Project
The Silver River Pollution Reduction Drainage Project is designed to improve the quality of stormwater runoff that flows into the Silver River.
GWC was awarded the contact that included constructing a 7.50-acre retention pond at NE 14th Street and 39th Avenue, expanding two other retention areas and improving the stormwater pipeline system.
The project will enable the stormwater system to capture the “first flush” of runoff water, which has most of the contaminants and debris from highways and other impervious areas.
The project is part of a more comprehensive effort that involves a number of local, regional and state agencies.
