TIRE AMNESTY DAY SET FOR OCT. 31
OCALA, Fla. (Oct. 19, 2009) – City of Ocala residents are encouraged to dispose of their old tires for free during Tire Amnesty Day on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Drop-off locations will be established at the recycling center at NE 14th Street and 8th Avenue, and the recycling center at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Complex, 1500 W. Silver Springs Blvd. Hours of operation will be 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

This free service is for those living within the city limits. A driver’s license listing a city address will be requested. Tires generated by businesses will not be accepted and each resident will be limited to 10 tires.
