Councilman Kent Guinn
Kent Guinn represents District 4, which is located in the central eastern section of the city. He began serving his first four-year term in December of 1999.
Councilman Guinn is in the insurance and investment business and is a partner in the firm of Guinn Shields & Co.
He is a member of the State Board of Directors of the Children's Home Society of Florida, as well as past chairman and current board member of the Mid-Florida Division of the Children's Home Society, which covers 15 counties.
He is past president of the Ocala Exchange Club, is a member of the Success by Six Leadership Committee, and current City Council liaison to the Ocala-Marion County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Economic Development Board of Directors. He also is chair of the Transportation Disadvantaged Local Coordinating Board and vice-chair of the Ocala-Marion Metropoitan Planning Organization.
