The City of Ocala is scheduled to receive a CDBG grant of $493,506 from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development for fiscal year 2007-2008. The City of Ocala will conduct a series of meetings as outlined below to consider proposals for uses of the Community Development Block Grant. Discussion of uses of $234,800 in HOME funds in partnership with Marion County will also be considered. All interested members of the public are invited to participate. The purpose of the Community Development Block Grant Program is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low and moderate income persons.
