The Fleet Management Department's six divisions (Heavy Trucks, Cars and Light Trucks, Small Equipment, Stores and Administration) are the provider of equipment and maintenance services for the city's entire fleet. This encompasses every aspect of the acquisition, upkeep and disposal of city-owned vehicles and equipment, which currently total approximately 1,200 units

Fleet Management has been designated a Blue Seal of Excellence Facility by the Automotive Service Excellence Institute.

All Fleet technicians are required to possess ASE Certifications for their job-related duties to ensure highest quality in repairs.

The division is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 794,717 square feet of building space.  Specifically, the division oversees building needs pertaining to roofs, floors, ceilings, air conditioning, painting, electrical and plumbing.  The division also oversees several citywide maintenance and repair contracts.  Anyone with questions or comments about the maintenance condition of a building used by the City of Ocala may feel free to telephone the telephone number listed above.
