Commercial Bank Draft Program

This is a method of paying your utility bill each month eliminating check writing, saving postage and more importantly, saving you time. To enroll in the Automatic Debit Plan, simply complete the Authorization Agreement below, attach a voided check, and return to: Ocala Electric Utility, Citizen Service Center, 201 S.E. 3rd St., Ocala, FL 34471.

To be eligible for this program, customers must have an excellent payment history and use a financial institution in the United States. After your authorization form has been accepted and processed by your bank, anticipate a 30-day delay for the first debit. This means the first bill you receive following your enrollment will not be paid through the Automatic Debit Plan. You will need to pay your bill in the normal manner that month.

In subsequent months, you will receive the usual utility bill that will state "Do Not Pay" because your account will automatically be drafted on the due date. You will know when, and for exactly how much, your account will be drafted. Any adjustments or credits to the current bill will be reflected on the following month's bill.

If you terminate your account with Ocala Electric Utility, the final bill will not be drafted; it will be sent directly to you for payment. If an "insufficient funds notice" is received, the City's non-sufficient funds regulations will apply.

Additional information is available by calling 629-CITY (2489) or toll-free outside the calling area at 1-800-893-4760. You can also e-mail us at OEU@ocalafl.org if you have additional questions.
